Today, we’ll be discussing the topic: “Telling someone about Jesus.”
Is it possible to see everyday as an opportunity to tell someone about Jesus?
Answer: Absolutely, Yes
We meet people daily and talk daily. As such, our conversations are to preserve and there’s no better time or situation to count on, when it dawns on you.
Remember everyday is a glorious day. Acts 20:28, Eph 4:29
Does it get easier when the opportunity presents itself, example when someone needs some assistance from you and you plan to tell the person about Jesus?
Answer: I would have thought so but not necessarily. It just makes the approach a bit simple and not necessarily easy.
Does God really bring people our way because He trust us to tell them about Jesus?
Answer: As children of God, we’re saved to save and have been made fishers of men.
So the Master trusts us to take care of His flock, and that’s why we’re here, for the ministry of reconciliation is committed to our trust. 2 Cor 5:19

It’s a pleasure to connect with you again today for another episode of Pastor Samuel Q&A.
Today, we’ll be discussing the topic: “Compassion.”
How does compassion differ from sympathy and mercy, and what sets it apart in the life of a believer?
Answer: But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth (Psalm 86:15).
Compassion is a strong/deep affection and desire for a transformation or change for someone.
Compassion means to recognize or to become aware of the sufferings of another with a desire to alleviate that suffering. That’s what makes it different from sympathy.
To sympathize with someone means to identify with someone in his suffering or pain.
It doesn’t mean the sympathizer is able to do anything about it.
Mercy is forbearance shown especially to an offender or to someone you have the right or power to punish. So these 3 are different.
Care and love are found in this subject of Compassion.
It’s a gift to care. It takes God to have Compassion. These set Compassion apart from having sympathy and mercy.
Our Lord Jesus always had Compassion.
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Matthew 9:36
Can a Christian remain unmoved by the things that stir God’s heart—and how can we align ourselves to feel and respond as He does?
Answer:This moves me to tears whenever I see or remember some past events. Biblically, a Christian is like our Great Shepherd (full of Compassion), yet we sometimes find pockets of behaviors like that. Unmoved and unshaken. This is sometimes due to no proper training/emphasis or less training and knowledge on the subject of Compassion.
It shouldn’t be so, but it happens Paul made an emphatic statement in 1 Cor 9:16-17
‘…necessity is laid on me…’
So in our PRAYER, our compassionate nature comes or burst forth
Prayer is inevitable. In prayer, your compassion is revealed. Study our Lord Jesus as He did.
Anytime he had Compassion, he also remedied the situation.
What daily practices can help me yield more fully to God’s love, so that I become a channel of healing for those in pain?
Again, I’ll call on us having COMPASSION as a NECESSITY!!!
The Apostle Paul’s emphatic statement said; “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.” 1 Cor 9:16-17
That’s why we’re pray the way we do and study the Word the way we do here in Word Faith Hills.
- Pray about it until it becomes a burden
- Pray for someone daily
- Feel and seek to alleviate their pain or agony
- Share the Word with others daily
- Visit them
- Invite them to Word Faith Hills
If we remember, for years now, because we pray together and have generated so much in the Spirit, when any issue is brought here, out of COMPASSION, we pray and make moves to get Bible results always including bring the dead back to LIFE!!!
For we’re REPAIRERS OF THE BREACH, CAPTAINS OF OUR CITIES AND AMBASSADORS TO OUR COUNTRIES. We’re the authority God has placed there. We won’t sit back and watch!!! So tonight, we take action!!! Be challenged and say NO to these things happening around us. We’re stirred to make power available tonight to cause changes!!!

Today, we’ll be discussing the topic: “Looking Unto Jesus.”
The Bible talks of a time (Numbers 21:6-9)when the Israelites were attacked by venomous snakes, and many lost their lives. God instructed Moses to craft and lift up a bronze serpent, so that anyone who looked upon it would live.
And so it happened, for anyone that looked at the bronze serpent, the power of the poison was rendered powerless. And Its ability to bring death was completely neutralized.
4. One Mind
Q1: The Path of Like-mindedness: A Life That Glorifies God
Phil 2:2, “Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.”
Rom 15:5-6, “5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Welcome to yet another interesting article as we always build up on what we’ve studied and learnt so far.
Today we talk about BEING LIKEMINDED OR LIKEMINDEDNESS
This is one attribute, God wishes for us to walk in just as Jesus and the Apostles also taught.
Now, the tool we’re for which we make the discussion is the MIND
What is the mind then?
The mind is the faculty of man’s reasoning and thoughts; it holds the power of imagination, recognition and appreciation. It’s responsible for processing feelings and emotions, resulting in attitudes.
The words imagination, thinking/thought, reasoning/reason, inclination are also used interchangeably in referring to activities of the mind, as you would find in Bible translations.
Jumping straight into our main scripture
Romans 15:5-6 KJV
[5] Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus. [6] that ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This was a significant prayer by Apostle Paul to the Believers/Church.
In Phil 2:2, he admonished once again according to the mind of Christ to walk in like mindedness
Why?
Without being like-minded or of one mind we cannot meet together as the manner of some is as stated in Hebrews 10:25. Also, if we’re not of one mind then we cannot walk together except we agree (Amos 3:3).
This is how Jesus sent the disciples in two’s.
Paul had the same mindset and asked that we even move as he taught them public and even from house to house.
In Verse 6 of the Book of Romans Chapter 15, he says to the end that with one mind and one mouth glorify God.
In Verses 3-7 of the Book of Philippians 2, we’ll see that it helps us not to do things in vainglory and without strife.
Q2: What does it mean to glorify God with one mind and one voice?
This means we’re saying the same thing as God has said in His or to us by His Spirit. We would only be able to do something by not forgetting who we are or look like, James 1:25.
Jesus showed us a pattern of glorifying God in John 17:4, we glory God with one mind and voice when our minds are on Him and also that’s how we’ll be able to do God’s work He’ll give us. In doing what God has given us is glorifying God, then we’ll be kept in perfect peace, Isaiah 26:3.
John 15:8 also tells that we glorify God by bearing fruits. We bear fruits by talking/doing the Word.
Simply put, DO AS GOD HAS INSTRUCTED YOU TO DO!!!

I’m fully resolved to live to your honor and glory, by doing the Word and producing Word-based results, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!

5. The Pure Perspective
“Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.” – Titus 1:15 (KJV)
As we look at this, the following questions arise:
*Who then is the pure?
*Who does this verse refer to?
*What is a pure perspective, and who forms it?
In the life of a man who has surrendered to the leadership of our Lord Jesus Christ, there’s a way to behave, live, and do things. When we got born again, it was the spirit that got reborn -not the mind or the body. This is why the Bible instructs us to bring the body and its senses under subjection to the spirit.
The Scriptures reveal that God is the Father of spirits (Hebrews 12:9), and He is our Father. As our Father, He is holy, righteous, true, and pure. Therefore, our purity is of God – we are His offspring. We share His nature.
A pure perspective is one that is rooted in the Word of God. The Word becomes the lens through which we view and interpret life. It frames our thoughts, shapes our convictions, and guides our responses.
The Word purifies. It purifies your heart, your thoughts, and your actions. This is why the one who is born again (the new man in Christ) is the one referred to as “the pure.” He is no longer defiled, for the life and nature of God now dwell in him.
God is holy, righteous, just, and true. And the new creation shares that same nature. He is a pure man with a pure heart and a pure perspective, because he sees through the Word.
Q1. What does it mean, “Unto the pure, all things are pure”?
The pure refers to the one whose heart has been purified through faith in Christ Jesus. It is the believer whose mind has been renewed by the Word and whose spirit has been recreated in righteousness and true holiness.
Romans 12:1-2 urges us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Why? Because it is with the mind that we process spiritual truth and align our perception with God’s.
1 Peter 1:22 says, “Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren…”
This shows that the pure man not only sees rightly but also acts rightly – he produces what is pure. Jesus said, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth good things…” (Matthew 12:35). Purity flows from within.
In Acts 10, when Peter received a vision and rejected it by calling it unclean, the Lord corrected him. Peter was operating from a mindset shaped by tradition, but God brought a higher perspective. God said, “What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.”
That encounter reoriented Peter’s vision, God helped him to see as God sees.
God purifies and makes one pure to bring forth and see things as pure. Otherwise, God wouldn’t have seen this world in a better view to send the Sun of Righteousness to the earth. The reason we win souls is that we see God’s treasure hidden in them – that pure gem within.
Call what God has shown or called pure, pure.
As He is, so are we. As He sees, so we see.
Q2. Why do some people consistently find faults or see evil in others?
The world and societal norms have a system of their own and operate by it. However, being patriotic or a philanthropist doesn’t make one pure or righteous.
Our perspective should conform to that which the Lord says and what the Word approves. As Christians, when we do as stated in Philippians 4:8, our hearts will guide our thoughts and perspectives.
We do not function with sin-consciousness, but with righteousness-consciousness. We live in the kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Those who consistently find faults or see evil in others are often governed by a mind still influenced by sin-consciousness and the fallen nature. Rather than discerning by the Spirit, they assess others through the lens of the flesh – through societal standards, prejudices, and emotional filters.
But the man of the Spirit sees beyond that. He sees God’s treasure in others. He recognizes the potential of the Spirit and the glory in the saints. Even when others err, we don’t condemn; instead, we bring correction and purification through the Word, in love.
Let’s see others differently from societal grading or anything similar to racial segregation.
Q3. Does living with a pure heart mean ignoring sin or evil around me? And how can I cultivate a pure heart?
Living with a pure heart doesn’t mean ignoring sin – it means your very nature resists it. It has very little to do with using your own energy or effort to stop sin. Because you have God’s nature, it causes you to walk right, and it corrects you if you err.
As a matter of fact, you only know what you did was wrong or inconsistent with the Word because of the nature of God that is in you. The Bible admonishes us to shun evil – but we are only able to do that after we have received the nature of God. It is not by human discipline, but by divine nature.
You have to be the policeman of your heart; take charge of it. Don’t allow every thought. Allow only God’s thoughts – righteous thoughts – thoughts of love in Christ Jesus.
As Pastor Chris teaches, we don’t live trying to please God through self-effort. In Christ, we don’t ask, “What can I do to please God?” because we live by the faith of the Son of God.
To please God is to walk by faith, and to every man has been dealt the measure of faith (Romans 12:3).
The righteous may err in his walk with God, and it’s allowed. But because he has the Holy Spirit, he’s corrected in love and aligned again with God’s perfect plan.
Remember: the Christian does not sin!
That’s not just a statement – it’s a consciousness. A new creation doesn’t make sin his practice. His nature is righteousness.
So, let the Word and the Spirit gain ascendancy in your life – so you live pure and bring forth pure things, as you see with a pure perspective.
Use the Word to keep bringing forth fruits that are consistent with your nature of righteousness in Christ.
Matthew 3:8 (AMP):
“So produce fruit that is consistent with repentance [demonstrating new behavior that proves a change of heart and a conscious decision to turn away from sin].”
